Half-way down the lush tropical coast of Virgin Gorda, Mango Bay is centrally located on beautiful Drakes Channel at the edge of one of its finest bays and is protected by colourful coral reefs. The land is flat, west facing, and beautifully landscaped.

The ocean side location is magnificent: while only minutes from the airport, marina, shops, and other hotels and restaurants, Mango Bay has complete privacy provided by the rolling hills of the island and the coral reefs along the shoreline.

Mango Bay Resort and hotel lies on a golden sandy beach bordering a crystal-clear lagoon in Mahoe Bay. The fine silvery sand beach dives into pristine, balmy waters with glorious hues varying from turquoise to emerald green to sapphire blue.  Swimming, snorkelling, sailing and diving are favourite leisure activities.

The accommodation is in luxurious, widely spaced villas separated by palm and mahogany trees near the beach.  Two private villas are on a hill with outstanding vistas ("A dream come true Villa" and "Katitche Point Greathouse Villa").

The Resort Villas
Three resort villas are located directly on the beach, only ten meters (30') from the water's edge, with a splendid, wide-open view over the quiet bay and the spectacular reef, with its forever changing colours.

Five resort villas are located fifty to eighty meters (165'-260') from the water and are surrounded by lush tropical gardens with an abundance of flowers and old stately trees, all creating a natural and tranquil ambiance.

The resort villas are all constructed with the finest materials and interior decoration, in contemporary tropical style, done with great attention to detail; many of the furnishings came from Italy and France. All are duplex villas, divided into separate one and two bedroom units which can be combined and rented as an entire villa. These units have a spacious living room, fully equipped interior or exterior kitchens, some with dishwashers, and big bathrooms.  Large terraces surround each villa, giving an abundance of dining and lounging space.  Most units have an outside shower to rinse off sand and sea water after swimming and sunbathing.  All bedrooms are spacious with light and airy furnishings.

The Garden-view Studios are 2nd floor efficiencies and have a bedroom, kitchenette on the porch, and a small bathroom with shower.  An Ocean-view studio does not have a porch.

Maid service is provided daily.

The Mango Bay staff also will be pleased to arrange jeep rentals, island hopping, day sails, and other outings around the BVI.  Picnic baskets can be prepared for day excursions upon request at extra charge. We can arrange to have baby sitters available at additional charge.

Near the end of the beach and below the two private villas, Giorgio's Table, an Italian restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  It gives our guests an option of cooking in, dining out, or choosing an optional resort meal plan during their stay.
