Evreti is a small, hillside hamlet of traditional island houses, set in an unspoilt and natural landscape of olive and cypress trees, a ten minute drive south along the coastal road from Fiscardo.

Olive Grove retains the attractive features of the original 18th Century stone house. Spectacular views take in the forested hillside and the island of Ithaca across the sea. One of Olive Grove's guests told us that the sight of the moon rising over Ithaca is stunning. A ten minute walk down through the olive groves takes one to a small shingle beach.

Once a self-sufficient family house, the villa has the modern comforts of an elegant home but incorporates the many "working" features of a past era such as the old stone vats for the storage of the family’s wine. Unusual antiques blend attractively with modern furnishings; original stone and tile floors keep the interiors cool; a modern kitchen also has a traditional wood burning oven.

Landscaped gardens surround a swimming pool with sun terraces and natural arbours for shaded dining areas. Olive Grove enjoys a private and secluded location.
Olive Grove is one of the most impressive properties to be found on Cephalonia and will provide total privacy, a comfortable home and a beautiful location for those looking for a stylish and hidden retreat.

ACCOMMODATION

The main house has a large open-plan sitting room, with sea-facing balcony, and kitchen with a sea-facing terrace; stone staircase up to one double bedroom and en-suite bathroom with bath and one twin-bedded room (bunk beds); separate bathroom with shower. Both bedrooms lead out on to a sea-facing terrace.

A few metres away from the main house is the guest cottage of stone, originally built in 1700, with one double bedroom; one bathroom with shower; one twin-bedded room and en suite bathroom with shower; kitchenette. TV & video. Small dishwasher.
