Sunset House was named for its private and dramatic location on the north-west coast of the island with theatrical views of the sun setting behind the Lixouri peninsula on the horizon.

This peaceful house up in the hills surrounded by pine and olive trees, is a perfect retreat for the uncompromising escapist who is looking for coastal seclusion and total privacy, a comfortable and spacious home and uninterrupted views over the sea.

The House is three kilometres from the small, sleepy village of Mangonos, which has a supermarket and taverna, and eight kilometres from Fiscardo. Two beaches below the house, a ten minute walk, are bordered by fig trees and a small taverna.

The stone walls and floors, open ceilings of cypress wood and flagstoned terraces give Sunset House the character of a converted Provençal farmhouse. The large rooms look out to sea and the sea-facing terraces are bordered by purple bougainvillaea, jasmine, pink oleander, lavender and rosemary bushes.

The Main House: one double bedroom; large open-plan sitting room and dining room with two steps up to kitchen with breakfast bar; bathroom with bath and shower.

The large rear courtyard, shaded by grapevine and bougainvillaea, incorporates a romantic dining area which leads to The Annexe: split-level sitting room and kitchenette; bathroom with shower; stairs to one twin-bedded room.
