Petritis is a dramatic and romantic retreat for Paxos escapists. The villa’s cliff top position in the peaceful, west coast hamlet of Boikatika commands outstanding views over the horseshoe bay below and through bordering olive groves. Large veranda provide perfect vantage points to follow the setting sun. Although only a ten minute drive to the fishing village of Loggos, Petritis offers a secluded hideaway.

The original house of stone has been carefully renovated to create a split-level living area with marble floors, a bedroom gallery of stripped pine and exposed beams of cypress wood. The villa opens out to a flagstoned courtyard of colourful plants, bordered by stone walls for privacy and canopied in parts by purple bougainvillaea. The courtyard extends to a circular, sea-facing veranda with steps past olive and lemon trees to a single bedroom, swimming pool and barbecue area.

The villa is reached by a narrow road from the village of Magazia, about half a mile away, which has two general stores, two simple café bars frequented by the few villagers, a bakery and two tavernas.

Boikatika is a quiet and secluded part of the island. The ports of Gaios, Lakka and Loggos are ten minutes by car.

Petritis is not suitable for young children. The villa is furnished and equipped as a comfortable home and its dramatic position is more suited to discerning adults.

Sitting room and dining area leading to verandahs; kitchen; staircase to gallery double bedroom and en suite bathroom with shower. Outside steps down to one single bedroom with en suite bathroom and shower, which is three steps away from the swimming pool terrace. Barbecue area. A hired boat can be moored in Loggos or Gaios.
