The house is situated on the west coast of Paxos, known for its cliffs, grottoes and rocky shores, in a quiet location away from the tourist centres.
The open view of the sea and the garden with ancient olive trees and citrus-trees invite complete relaxation in a peaceful atmosphere.
It is equidistant from the three main seaside villages of Gaios, Loggos and Lakka (4 km, less than ten minutes drive) and 700 m from Magazia, a small village where there are groceries, a bakery, , two “tavernas”, a traditional “kafenio” and a petrol station.
The house is a two-hundred year old traditional stone house, restored to provide comfortable accommodation for 6 guests.
For honeymooners it can be divided to provide accommodation for two with sole use of the garden and terrace allowing complete privacy.
Facing the sea, on the ground floor there are two kitchens : a well-equipped indoor kitchen with dish-washer and washing machine and an outdoor cooking space for al fresco dining.
Leading onto the terrace there is a large bedroom (double or twin) with fireplace and shower.
The spacious living-dining room can be transformed into an extra twin bedroom. A staircase leads to the first floor where there are two bedrooms with sea view, one double and one twin bedded, and a further shower room.
Car parking space behind the house.
YOU SHOULD KNOW Paxos has no natural water source. Rainwater is carefully collected into tanks (sterna) in winter time for use throughout the year. Therefore, it is a very precious commodity and every single drop wasted is a loss for the flowers and trees of the garden.
