Ikies" is a complex of ten self-catering houses and studios, including a private pool, situated in the northern part of Santorini, on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Oia. Ikies is dramatically positioned on cliff-top terraces overlooking the Caldera, in the peaceful outskirts of Oia. Architecturally inspired by the local houses, which are carved out of pumice, they are designed to make the visitor feel at home. Each apartment has its own private balcony, affording spectacular views over the "caldera" and towards Oia itself. They offer privacy and a place to unwind. Each is furnished in the simple Cyclades style and respects local aesthetics, tradition and colour. The top terrace has a reception area for help and advice on any matter and a breakfast and cocktail terrace for those not wanting room service. A flight of steps leads down past the whitewashed suite terraces, decorated with terracotta pots of bright flowers, to the lowest terrace, which has a swimming pool. There are a total of ten [10] rooms: a. Honeymoon Suites: These two [2] rooms have the most secluded terraces with stunning views of the caldera and the sunset from the private outdoor hot tub and the exterior use futon. The large living rooms lead into the cave bedroom with a king-size bed and an ensuite dressing area. Added facilities are a Jacuzzi bathtub and a steam room/ hammam. These rooms have extra amenities such as candles, flowers, added bathroom soaps, and extra services such as a sparkling wine breakfast. b. Superior Suites: Our superior suites [2] have a living area with two traditional sofas [which can be used as single beds for teenagers], dinning table and fully equipped kitchenette, and a separate bedroom with a queen size bed and bathroom. One of the suites has a second bedroom with its own bathroom on a separate level. These houses have a private outdoor jacuzzi with a wooden deck area nestled in the corner of their private terrace and an exterior use futon. c. Maisonettes: Each of our three [3] maisonettes is developed on two-levels. The queen-size bed on the loft offers a spectacular view onto the caldera through the loft window while the traditional sofas in the ground floor living room can be used as single beds for teenagers. Our maisonettes can accommodate up to three or four persons. d. Superior Studios: These two [2] houses have a queen-size bed, a cosy living or dinning area, and a fully equipped kitchenette. The traditional bathrooms offer all modern conveniences. One of the studios has two sofas in the living area, which can accommodate teenagers. A private outdoor jacuzzi is nestled in the corner of the terraces with views to the village of Oia and the caldera. e. Collector’s House (Villa): This luxurious villa offers two separate bedrooms with king size beds, each with its own generous bathroom and ensuite dressing area, both carved deep into the volcanic cliff. The spacious living and dinning area with its characteristic domed ceiling opens out onto the unique terrace with its combination of complete privacy and breathtaking views of the caldera and the village of Oia. The villa also boasts its own private “spa” area (steam bath/hammam, rain shower jacuzzi) perched on the edge of the terrace overlooking the caldera. FACILITIES & SERVICES: o Swimming pool, private terraces, air condition, fully equipped kitchenettes, direct dial telephone with wi-fi internet accessibility, portable computer in suites, satellite-TV, DVD - CD player, hair dryer, safe box, fax services, bathrobes and slippers. o Daily room cleaning service, afternoon turndown, laundry service available. o Reception hours from 08:00 to 22:00. o Continental Breakfast served to each house’s private balcony or terrace between 8:30 and 11:00 and light fare menu between 13:00 and 21:00 o Transfers to and from the airport or port can be prearranged by booking a taxi. The cost of the private transfer is 45.00 Euros per way, for two persons, including taxes and involves transfer by taxi from the airport/port to IKIES as well as from IKIES to the port/airport. In case the guests do not mind sharing transportation with other travellers the cost for this type of transfer (“shared”) is 35.00 Euros per way, for two persons, including taxes (again the rate is the same from/to the airport/port). This shared type of transfer is preformed either with a taxi (there is enough space for luggage) or a mini bus.
