CASTELLO DI VERTINE - Gaiole in Chianti

Vertine is a perfect medieval walled village perched on a hill above the little town of Gaiole in the heart of Chianti. The castle is a medieval tower which has been converted into a beautiful home by the owners who are an artist and a musician from Burkino Fasso.  Gioia their daughter now runs the Castle and the little house in the garden "IL Chiodo".  In the gardens which are scattered with sculpures, there is a beautiful swimming pool built into the rock of the hillside with spectacular views over the valley. The whole property has a wonderful bohemian feel and is where we choose to stay. The rooms in the castle are beautiful and can be rented out by special request.  Art courses on everything from Raku pottery to fabrics are organised regularly for small groups of between six and ten. IL CHIODO
This pretty little country house is set in the gardens of the Castello di Vertine in the heart of Chianti area. It Sleeps 4 (2 + 2), 1 bedroom, 2 bathrooms, living-room with extra double bed, kitchen, superb swimming-pool (to be shared with the owners, who are leaving in the Castle of Vertine), the house has a unique mixture  of Tuscan and African antiques.

This little house offers tremendous value for money at Euro 1250/week for June, July, August and September (until 18th) or Euro 1050/week for all the rest of the year.
