Southern Kenya South of Nairobi, along the southern border of Kenya, lies some of the most astonishing and superb land. It includes Mt. Kilimanjaro, just accross the Tanzanian border, Africa’s most famous mountain, the southern end of the Rift Valley and three most important wildlife reserves: Tsavo National Park, Amboseli National Park and the Masai Mara National Reserve, which is part of the world-renowned Serengeti ecosystem.

The Masai Mara National Reserve is 1.510 square kilometres of incredible wide open panorama and verdant forests following the looping bends of the Mara and Talek Rivers.

Amboseli National Park became Kenya’s first game refuge in 1948, when 3.260 square kilometres were set aside as a national reserve. Besides being renowned safe haven for wildlife, especially elephant, Amboseli also has perfect views of Mt. Kilimanjaro.

At 5.895 metres, Kilimanjaro is Africa’s highest mountain, its perfect caldera crowned with one-fifth of all the ice in Africa.
